Meet Your Hosts ~
Brenda and George

Brenda, a Nova Scotian by birth, was born in Yarmouth, NS and raised in Ontario. George is an Ontarian through and through; born and raised in Toronto.

"Over the years, many things have changed for us.  However, the one thing that stayed constant was our dream of someday opening a Bed & Breakfast and just being able to enjoy our time together as well as with guests," shared Brenda.

Their dream unexpectedly began to take shape during a vacation to Prince Edward Island in 2017.  "We took a ferry from PEI to Pictou where we stayed at the Willow House Inn. That trip, sealed the deal for us," she laughed.  Why Pictou you may ask?  "Well, since the moment we got off the ferry, Pictou just felt like home. Visiting local shops and restaurants was a delight. Getting to meet and talk with some local business owners was so inspirational. Everyone was just so friendly! We've never felt more at home," she smiled warmly.

After a moments pause she continued, "I know people say 'home is where the heart is', well that my friends is Pictou ~ Home

Just as Pictou captured the hearts of Brenda, George and Emma, it just may capture yours as well.

Meet Emma

Our loveable Cocker Spaniel Poodle really enjoys welcoming our guests with a short "vocal hello".

Emma enjoys relaxing on the deck of the Inn on her favourite cushion while watching the steady stream of blue jays stopping by to enjoy a few peanuts from their feeder.

She also loves attention and often tries to snuggle up by our guests hoping for a gentle pat on her back.  She is often compared to a teddy bear as her fur is just as soft and her personality so docile.

"Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof, woof," said Emma.  Luckily, we understand her language and can translate her message to you, "Welcome to the Willow House Inn," she said with her tail happily wagging.

If you suffer from allergies, you will be happy to know that Emma is hypoallergenic.
